After going to websites and browsing for background wallpapers all my life, I decided to make my own wallpapers. Nothing too fancy. Evangeline Lilly is a beautiful women, there’s no need to add anything extra. She has a tone and an athletic body. Just how I like it!

I remember the first time seeing her on those Live Link phone dating commercials. She was beautiful like all the other women they put in those commercials and it seems that’s all they do. I never thought I would see her again. Now, Flash forward a few years later, I see this TV show called Lost. I recognized her but I just didn’t remember where I had seen her. I found out her name to google some pictures of her. That’s where I found the videos for the Live Link commercials.

Here are the wallpapers. These are wide screen, high quality, high resolution pictures with very little compression. Let me know what you guys thing. Anything I can do to improve?

I was looking through my animal pictures and stumble upon this. It’s a titanic battle between a squirrel and a dog, two of nature’s most dangerous beasts (notice the irony ). I forgot what the background to this story was, but I’ll provide my own personal commentary on it.

The dog just caught a baby squirrel. There doesn’t appear to be any injuries to it. Canines in the wild would kill or “play” with prey this size, injuring it. Domesticated dogs rely on their owners for food, so seeing an animal like this doesn’t elicit a predatory response. The mother squirrel is acting very aggressively with her tail pointing forward.

The adult squirrel attacks the dog to distract it from the baby. It is too small to injure or harm the much bigger dog, but it’s goal is to get it’s attention away from the baby.

A canine in the wild would anniliate a squirrel in seconds, but domesticated dogs aren’t used to hunting other animals. They’ve been fed by their owners since they were puppies, so they never rely on their animal instincts to hunt for food. This dog looks more freightened than the squirrel, because it’s probably never had a creature so small attack it.

Baby and mother, safe up a tree. Not like the dog was going to hurt them. It could, but it’s been too domesticated for too long to know what to do.

I though I would share something so interesting. It’s not too often that things like this gets recorded.

I don’t have much to say on this post, but people say a picture is worth a thousand words.  I was reading an article on lions on wikipedia and I saw this beautiful picture of 7 lionesses. It has a very high resolution for good details. I decided to mess around with it in Gimp. I edited it and made 2 pictures with an HDR like effect on it.

Went running again today. It felt a lot better than the last time. I’m still maintaining a slow to medium pace until I get back into better shape, then I’ll be flying! I have a routine of 3 different routes, 2 of them are 9 miles round trip each. The other one is killer, 14 fucking miles. I haven’t run that route since summer. I would normally do that route every Sunday.

Today, I ran my Holmes Lake route. It’s not as pretty or scenic as the one out to Pioneer Park. There’s more traffic I have to cross. I stick to mostly bike paths. When I reached Holmes Lake, I rested for a few minutes. I’m so glad I did, because I saw this beautiful girl doing her exercise. She was only walking and she wasn’t sweating, good thing. She was wearing short exercise shorts and a tight t-shirt. It was quite an appetizing sight. She was gorgeous!

I’m not as sore this time, because I’m not running after a long layoff. One of the best feelings about running is the rest afterwards. It feels good to just sit back and enjoy watching the Lakers playing basketball in this condition. Today, I had a good bonus. A beautiful girl along my route!

I posted my colors for the Jimmy Cheung Supergirl pencils at a DC message board and one of the posters challenged me to color an old 1961 Curt Swan Supergirl drawing. Long story short, I accepted.

It was a lot tougher than I thought it would be, because the pencils the poster provided was pretty small. I doubled the size of the pencil and colored from there. It didn’t turned out as good as I hoped it would. Oh, well. I’m still learning.

I changed the skirt color to red, I thought it would look better for this drawing.

I was browsing “Supergirl Comic Box Commentary” and saw another beautiful commissioned drawing for the webmaster of the blog. Supergirl looks amazing like usual. Jimmy Cheung did a great job on it! Again, it was just pencils like the one from Billy Tan. I decided to do my magic and do colors for this one myself too. I think I did a better job with this new one, since I have more experience. It was a nice day in the neigborhood, won’t you be mine. Oh, won’t you be mine. It’s been about 3 weeks since I last ran and it was tough and tedious the first mile. I toughed it out and after that it was just second nature to me, I maintained a slow to medium pace. When I was younger, I hated running but it’s became quite addicting once I started. The first summer I started running, I manage to lose 50 lbs. I’m in much better shape now. If I can only get motivated to lift weights.

Anyways, I ran for 9 miles. From my house out to Pioneer Park, distance of about 4.5 miles. The weather was beautiful. I’ll be running regularly again since the weather should be getting warmer. I’m going to pump myself up, I will be massive!
